Those who know me, know that I have a major love for a few particular things. Ice cream being one. Coconut water being another. Avocado being yet another. It doesn’t matter how much I eat/drink any of those fine listed beauties, they will never get old.
I also have a love for smoothies.
I think they are so delicious, not to mention convenient. A meal in a cup? Don’t mind if I do!
Can you see where this is going? Avocado… coconut water… smoothie… Yuppers! Smoothie time.
It has been pretty freaking hot out lately.. especially today. 29 degrees!! That’s Celsius, my American friends…. so… roughly 85 degrees ferinheight … and I can hear you laughing at me now, say that THAT’S nawwwt hot… but hey, give me a break, that’s pretty solid temperatures for Alberta, Canada.
Regardless, there is something that just needs to be had to help with the summer heat. A smoothie!
Make this smoothie, and be happy. All your summer problems will then be solved. No? Not buying that? Well, try it anyways. It’s delicious and will fill you up happily.
Tropical Avocado Smoothie
1/2 frozen banana
1/2 cup lite coconut milk
1/2 cup milk or water … I prefer almond milk to regular dairy milk, so I used unsweetened vanilla almond milk, because that is all I had.
1/4 cup plain greek yogurt
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 ice cubes
2 tablespoons coconut
Blend it all together and drink with a smile on your purrrrty face.
Side note, my mama was like, “This needs more banana taste!” Ha… so if you have a thing for bananas, as apparently sooooooomeone in my family does, add in more. It will increase the thickness though, so keep that in mind. Also, use coconut water, in place of regular water if you have some. Make it tropically.
